AO Report: Glombowski - Sylvia Taylor is POOM; harder to get information; ordering Postmasters to do more work again.
Maintenance Report: Myszka - Management giving more discipline; attended Maintenance Conference in Puerto Rico; Washington needs information for Code 83 lawsuit (travel time on off time).
Clerk Craft Report: Scutt - Sam Leone is new plant manager; had productive meeting. Converting 4 PTFs to full time flexibles. Continuing problems with the attendance Supervisor. Senator Levin is investigating P-1 Tour 1 labor conditions. Thanks to BMEU employers for participation in intervention program. Thanks to stewards.
Executive Vice President: Amos - Local's website has links to FMLA paperwork; Ongoing problems with Anna Armstrong. Pat Garrett is new steward at P-1.
COPA Report: Tubbs. Annual report for funds collected for COPA.
President's Report: Novakoski - Thanks for being sent to Maintenance Conference. Greg Bell, Industrial Relations said national has filed grievance on the attendance policy. Bob Tunstall proposing automatic scanning system for the next National APWU elections. Bill Burrus spoke on negotiations. Agreements have been reached on three issues. Priority Mail Centers on East Coast will be taken over from Emory. There will be 359 day appointments for casuals and a 25% cap on casuals. Lump sum payments for slotting problems in last contract.Legislative Director Ray Braunstein said that Michigan will lose a House seat. Bush is leaning against implementing the new ergonomics law. Human Resource Director Sidney Brooks has password for the Local to access OWCP files for status of claims. Judy Beard spoke on the USPS/APWU jointly sponsored program LifeCare. Recoommends that members use the program or the USPS will drop out. MVS auto mechanics will be upgraded from level 7 to 8.USPS has made agreement with FedEx to use their planes. Local negotiations will be coming up. If you have items to include let Ray know. Looking for volunteers for Audit Committee and Election Committee.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
DENTAL: Long - Blue Cross Blue Shield has screwed up the applications inputs. You are covered if you signed up and problems are being straightened out.
A & E: Amos - Christmas party was a success. Took leftover prizes to Santa Claus girls. They were thrilled. Food leftovers went to God's Kitchen. Thanks to Jim Sweeney and Catherine Beemblossom for cooking.
Correspondence: Tubbs - Thank you letter from Deaf, etc. and flyer from Grand Rapids Griffins were read.

Motion to appoint Kevin Breen as editor of WMAL newspaper. Carried.
Motion to get four cellular phones from Verizon Wireless at a cost of @ $49.99 per month plus taxes and activation for President, Vice President, Clerk craft Director, AO Director. Discussion. Carried.
Motion to send the President and the Treasurer to Secretary Treasurer training in Portland OR Feb 7-1-- to include lost time, per diem, transportation, lodging, registration, and applicable taxes. discussion. Carried.
Motion to purchase a laptop computer at a cost not to exceed $2000.00. Discussion. Carried.
Motion to send the new editor to the PPA Conference in July in Orlando FL to include lost time, transportation, lodging, per diem, registration, and applicable taxes. discussion. Carried.
Motion to send Juczynski and Phil Maddox to MVS Conference April 19-21 in Cincinnati OH to include lost time, mileage, lodging, per diem, registration, and applicable taxes. Discussion. Carried.
Motion by Jim Stoddard, Steve Karbo to take a no confidence vote in the National Executive Board, to be sent to Bill Burrus by certified mail, return receipt. Discussion. Carried.
